Sunday Notes

Young Voices in the Service

Our children are welcome in the church services. It helps if everyone is well fed and not rushed. Pick up a Bible readings coloring sheet clipboard in the foyer. A few minutes mid-service in the foyer, garden, or hall can be helpful for a fussy youngster, but try to return.

All baptized Christians may receive Communion. A blessing is available for your children if they and you prefer.

Our Nursery

Children under five are welcome in our nursery on Sundays during the 10 am service; at the end of communion, please bring your child into the service for the last few minutes. The nursery is on the main floor at the drinking fountains.

Children's Chapel

Children's chapel is held during the 9 am service, 9:00 - 9:30 am, for three-year-olds through second graders. It's held in the chapel down the hall from the nursery. During this worship experience they learn our familiar responses & order of service, take part in an offering with their own coins or prayers, and more. The children process into the church to join their families for Communion.

The children need adult volunteers to be with them during their chapel time; contact Pam to take part for one or several Sundays.

Volunteers Needed

Children's chapel. The children need the presence of 3 adults in children's chapel. Commitments are needed now for the July Sundays. Are you thinking about it? Please contact Pam ASAP.

Sunday school. If you'd like to learn along with and love our kids on their faith journeys, dare to become a Sunday school teacher. Interested in teaching or assisting? Pray, & see Pam!

Books at the Bookstore

St. John's Book & Gift Shop has great children's books about the Sunday order of service, baptism, & Bibles.

Volumes in the Library

Check St. John's Library for books on parenting, Christian life, and much more; and children's books and videos. Browse on Sunday mornings or whenever the church office is open.
