Outreach

St. John's Episcopal Church seeks to love and serve Christ in ALL persons.

During Advent, the outreach committee coordinates the Santa Ministry, which focuses on sharing the light of the season with both the elderly and struggling families with children. Volunteers from the church "ring the bell" for Salvation Army; St. Nick visits children in the church and collects toys and clothing for families, and gifts are delivered to local nursing homes and the homebound/disabled.

The outreach committee continually looks for ways to support the Norman community. This past year, they prepared monthly meals for families participating in a drug and alcohol recovery program for juveniles and their families. Twice yearly, St. John's hosts blood drives in conjunction with the Oklahoma Blood Institute. St. John's Outreach also supports Food and Shelter for Friends by sponsoring a monthly meal.
