Mtr. Nancee Martin
Interim Rector
The Reverend Dr. Nancee Martin began serving as the Interim Rector at St. John’s in early August of this year. Mother Nancee is a spiritual director and Licensed Professional Counselor, and currently serves on the Pastoral Response Team in the Diocese of Rio Grande. Her clerical experience includes being a rector, campus chaplain, cathedral canon, associate as well as interim rector and adjunct facility for a local college during her twenty years in ordained ministry. She has served in a variety of dioceses – Colorado, Florida, Olympia, Rio Grande, and the Oxfordshire. Her permanent residence is on Amelia Island and she is canonically resident in Diocese of Florida
Currently she serves on the Alumni Council for the School of Theology, Sewanee (https://theology.sewanee.edu/alumni/alumni-council/). She enjoys hiking, learning about and marveling God’s amazing creation (especially sea turtles and Right Whales), going on pilgrimages, and enjoying with her four grown children and six grandchildren. She is delighted to be journeying in Christ with us!
