The Great Vigil - 8:00pm
One of the most ancient customs of the church is observed on Holy Saturday, with solemn, sung liturgy and incense. The first celebration of Easter begins in darkness and includes services of light (kindling of new fire, lighting the Paschal candle); lessons; Christian Initiation (Holy Baptism); and the Eucharist. We keep the ancient Easter feast, experiencing the darkness and rising to new, joyous life in Christ.
